💭 The Problem
MCORTES is the brainchild of Montse Cortes. After working for the likes of Louis Vuitton and Tiffany and Co., wanted to bring sustainability to the handbag industry.
Montse needed help creating a logo for her brand, and wanted a bespoke logo that had class, elegance, and charm.

Create a memorable logo that had class, elegance and paid tribute to Montse and her partner Vi.

Discovery Call and Pitch Deck
Discovery Call
On the discovery call, Montse and I discussed the brand’s core values: sustainability, class, and elegance.
I learned about Montse’s love for quality handbags, and the lack of quality sustainable handbags in the luxury market that would rival industry giants like LVMH or Longchamp.
From these insights, I created a pitch deck.
Refining the Design
Combining Letterforms
While Montse loved the initial designs, she wanted to make sure her partner Vi, was included in the final design as well. After brainstorming on Zoom and working with different letter combinations of MC with VI, we landed on a combination that revealed both forms in a subtle and minimal way, without distracting from the main brand.

Final Deliverables
In addition to these deliverables, I included a style guide, which helped outline the various use cases for each file type.
